Oh my it feels like forever since i have posted on this thing! haha, Ineed to saytaht i really mis all of you right now!!
besides that everything is good here! i am learning so much about myself here. The first thing i have learned is just how important time spent in the bible and prayer really is. we need that daily communication with God, and it needs to be intentionally done. I learned that it is so important because that is how we grow in Christ and hear his voice. I have also learned how important it is each day to ask for the Baptism of God's Holy Spirit, which we need to really connect with God and hear him clearly and do God's work.
Ok now i want to share with you the most impacting experience so far. It was last week, my first wednesday night prayer and worship service here. I had been praying and waiting for a word from God for months and praying for his Holy Spirit to rest in me. Last wednesday, we were all in prayer, and only two other people in the central church spoke english besides me, Nathan and Jennifer Hostetler who traveled with me. And if I understand little spanish they hardly understand any. Well the topic that night was Ruth, and how God provided for her in a completely foriegn land and how she survived there through the kindness of other people; a blessing directly for God. In the middle of the prayer time, i felt the Holy Spirit speak a word into my heart, and i felt God lead me to lay hands on and pray and prophesy to Nathan and Jennifer and so i did; and there were the three of us, standing there, praising and worshiping God, and praying and laying hands on each other in the midst of all of these others praying and it was just such a powerful moment and i wanted to share it all with you.
The spirit of God is doing some amazing work in my life right now, i can feel how much closer i am groing to God, and i can feel his Spirit's leading so much easier now. God has revealed to me just how much i need to lean on him and trust in him, and just how important time with him is; and how i can be selfish at times and need work on complete death to self.
God is definitely moving and working here.
